
SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 44

Unger, Walker and Wooton)
Recognizing the dedicated public service of Corene Fountain Bryant,
former Secretarial Supervisor to the Senate and distinguished
West Virginian.

Whereas, Corene Fountain Bryant began her public service to
the Senate of West Virginia in 1972 as Supervisor of Women
Personnel. From 1973 to 1981, she served as Supervisor of
Secretaries and Stenographers for the Senate Clerk; and

Whereas, In 1981, Corene Fountain Bryant served four years as
Senate Staff Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to Senate
President Warren R. McGraw; and

Whereas, In 1985, Corene Fountain Bryant rejoined the staff of
the Senate Clerk as Secretarial Supervisor, a position she held
until 1999; and

Whereas, Corene Fountain Bryant is married to her beloved
husband, Ronald Bryant. She is the mother of two sons, Daniel Franklin Bryant and Ronald Douglas Bryant and is the proud
grandmother of three grandchildren, Shanna Marie Bryant Sutler,
Zachary Eli Bryant and Nicholas Jacob Bryant; and

Whereas, Corene Fountain Bryant retired from public service on
May 1, 1999, bringing to an end twenty-seven years of dedicated
service to the Senate; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate:

That the Senate hereby recognizes to Corene Fountain Bryant
for her many years of dedicated service to the West Virginia Senate
and hereby extends its heartfelt appreciation. Her commitment to
the Senate, together with her knowledge and expertise of the
legislative process, has, over her twenty-seven years of dedicated
service, been an inspiration to those who have known and worked
with her; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to Corene Fountain Bryant.
